REVO Shaft MAINTENANCE A REVO carbon composite spokes should never be sanded or modified. Grinding the surface of the REVO tip damages the outer surface and weakens the structural makeup of the tip, releasing potentially harmful substances that can affect your health. Any grinding, polishing, or treatment of the nib surface with any chemicals or abrasives will void the nib’s unlimited lifetime warranty and negatively affect the nib’s life and performance. Never use talcum powder, baby powder, hand chalk or other classic nib treatment materials on a REVO carbon fiber composite nib. To clean the surface of the REVO carbon composite tip, use one of the following two solutions: REVO wipes or isopropyl alcohol (90%) cleaning. Step 1. Wipe the tip with the supplied microfiber cleaning Cloth and remove dirt, dust and debris. Step 2 Using REVO wipes or soft wipes/towels with a reasonable amount of isopropyl alcohol (90%), work up and down the tip, from the skin of the thread to the skin, while moving your hand around the surface of the tip. You may see dirt on the towel – this is normal. Continue cleaning the tip until all areas have been thoroughly wiped, allowing 1-2 minutes for the surface to dry.
